Third Feeder Upgrade--For use with Model 2000's built prior to about 1994

Do you want to improve the efficiency and performance of odd plate feeding on your TEKMAX Model 2000? The Third Feeder Upgrade Kit might be the answer to your needs.

The Third Feeder Upgrade uses a clutch system that starts and stops the feeder head, which only rotates when a plate is needed. Incorporation of this kit provides for more consistent odd plate feeding and helps minimize timing errors.

With the Third Feeder Upgrade you will also notice that potential plate damage is eliminated. Because the vacuum valve is removed and wear on the pickup head rollers is reduced, maintenance time and cost will decrease after adding this upgrade. All these improvements make the Third Feeder Upgrade Kit essential for all Model 2000's.

This new enhancement package is inexpensive and easy to install. After following a few simple steps, you will be back in more efficient odd plate operation.

 Sharpflex™ Carbide Cutter Blades--For use with the TEKMAX Sharpflex™ Cutter System (see article below)

TEKMAX is proud to offer Sharpflex™ carbide cutter blades (P/N 15900) for Model/Super 2000's. These blades provide fabulous results and long life! Over 10 million cuts have been made for one customer so far. This proven product (over 25 are already in service) is sure to increase your productivity.

You may ask yourself, what about that fall 1997 TEK-TIMES article, "The Problem with Carbide Cutter Blades"? It's true. We did warn against the use of carbide blades if they are used in standard not Sharpflex™ systems. In the standard TEKMAX cutting system, costly damage to the cutter mandrel results if a carbide blade is not set perfectly.

Upgrade your Model/Super 2000 to a Sharpflex™ carbide cutting system! Not only can this blade provide months of service, but also changeover time is only 5 minutes. If you already have a Sharpflex™ system, think how much more life you could get with a carbide blade than with a standard blade!

Sharpflex™ Cutter Roll System--Adaptable to TEKMAX Model 2000, Model 2500, Super 2000 family, and ESR-350 family machines

The TEKMAX Sharpflex™ Cutter Roll System is quickly proving itself to be a very unique and cost-saving system. Now standard on all ESR-350 enveloper/stackers, the Sharpflex™ can be adapted to several other TEKMAX machine types. The Sharpflex™ system utilizes a unique new design of both roll operation and blade installation. The sometimes time-consuming process of installing a new cutter blade and getting it set for proper operation has been eliminated.

Sharpflex™ utilizes a spring-loaded system that keeps the blade at the correct cutting position and provides the proper cutting pressure. This results in increased blade life and reduced blade changeover time. Blade changes, which used to take an hour or more, can be done in less than 5 minutes with the use of the Sharpflex™ system. With increased blade life and quick changeover time, the Sharpflex™ System quickly pays for itself.

Kit includes:

Fully assembled cutter roll with bearings, bearing blocks, cutter blade, and crease blade.

 The RHS-150 (Separator Rolls)--For use with any TEKMAX machine; recommended for use with large (over 1 m or 40" O.D.) diameter separator rolls

Separator material is now manufactured in larger rolls of thinner material than before, causing the rolls to weigh about 55 Kg (120 lb.). This is heavier than any industrial safety organization will allow workers to lift. The TEKMAX Roll Handling System (RHS-150) assists workers with this hazardous job.

This unit was designed so that anyone, strong or not, can handle these separator material rolls in an ergonomically safe manner. If your workers use the RHS-150, they can avoid back and other related injuries. Lifting is done with an operator-controlled air balancer.

The only floor space taken is by the unit's jib pole, so changes to your factory's layout are not needed. The wide range of motion of the RHS-150 gives the operator a large working area in which to move the rolls.

The RHS-150 can save you money on separator-material shipping costs. The new larger rolls of separator material utilize more of a shipping container's space than the smaller ones did. Because the transport companies charge one price to send each container (if it is full or not), you can receive up to 25% more separator material for the same shipping cost. With the RHS-150 in place, you will not have to worry about how to move these larger rolls.

This unit can be ordered in various configurations to fit your factory's needs.

Complete System includes: Jib crane (270 degrees of rotation), 2.4 m (8 ft.) of track travel, air balancer with slides, roll gripper, and all associated air hardware and interlocks.

Balancer and Roll Gripper Package includes: Air balancer and roll gripper. Customer must supply support and movement means for the unit.
