Chloride provide acid mixing & filling equipment to process acid for all the gravities required in the manufacture of lead-acid batteries.

Chem Resist Sulphuric Acid Dilution – Completely Automatic All Thermoplastic PLC Controlled Acid Dilution

Major savings can be made in the Lead Acid Battery industry by purchasing and transporting Sulphuric Acid in its most concentrated form and diluting it on-site at the battery manufacturing stage. Sulphuric Acid, however, has a great affinity for water and so the dilution process has a high exothermic heat of dilution - releasing large quantities of heat energy. Because of this, boiling of the resultant mixture can occur quite easily if the process is not carefully controlled.

It should be noted that, regardless of the proportions of the feedstocks and the final concentration, the mixture will always pass through the maximum exotherm (in excess of 145°C) at some point in the process. In the mixing and cooling areas, plant conventionally used to produce Dilute Sulphuric Acid from concentrated feedstock traditionally uses resin filled graphite, PTFE or glass for contact surfaces; these direct mixing designs suffer from severe thermal shock and thermal cycling associated with the relatively fragile and expensive materials. The results of these stresses can lead to high maintenance costs and significant plant downtime

GEL - MIXING & ACID FILLING

COLLOIDAL SILICA - GEL MIXING

The system is designed for mixing sulphuric acid with Colloidal silica to a specific ratio. The machine consists off three cylinders, one for acid and two for silica, with pistons inside and diaphragm valves in order to control the charge and discharge from the cylinders. A pneumatic cylinder is moving the pistons up and down thereby pumping the solution of acid and silica through a static mixer and into a holding tank.

FILLING EQUIPMENT

SF-Troll - AGM Battery

The SF-Trolley is a mobile unit designed for filling volumetric filling of AGM batteries.

The batteries need to be filled one cell at a time. The machine consists of a frame with a control panel, an acid storage tank, vacuum pump, diaphragm pump and a filling nozzle. The trolley filler is equipped with wheels and can be transported around in the formation area with only an extension wire and an air tube that needs to be connected in the vicinity of the batteries to be filled.

The frame is made of acid-proof stainless steel, the tank is made of PE and the handle of PVC.

SF4-6D - AGM Battery

SF4-6 fills standby batteries according to the vacuum principle with a pre-selected volume per cell. The machine consists of a stand with a platform, a 2000 mm belt conveyor with a lifting table, a measuring unitand a filling unit. A tank equipped with a pump, valves and level control is placed at the bottom of the stand.
All parts coming in direct contact with acid are made of PVC or PP. All other parts, such as the stand, cylinders, electric cabinet, etc., are made of acid-proof stainless steel.

SF4-8S - AGM Battery

SF4-8 fills AGM batteries according to the vacuum principle with a preselected mass or volume per cell. The machine consists of a stand with a 1500 mm belt conveyor, a measuring unit, a filling unit and a lifting table. A tank equipped with a pump, valves and level control is placed at the bottom of the stand. All parts that come into direct contact with acid are made of PVC or PP, EPDM, PE/HD and Hastelloy 267. Other parts, such as the stand, cylinders, electric cabinet, etc., are made of stainless acid-proof steel.

SF4-8S S - AGM Battery SF4-8S is a semi-automatic acid filler for filling standby batteries according to the vacuum principle with a preselected volume per cell. The machine consists of a stand, a roller conveyor (idle), a measuring unit, a filling station and a vacuum pump.
A tank equipped with a pump, valves and level control is placed at the bottom of the stand. All parts that come into direct contact with acid are made of PVC or Hastelloy 267.

SF4-8T - AGM Battery The SF4-8T is a Triple headed machine that fills standby batteries according to the vacuum principle with a pre-selected mass (or volume) per cell.

The machine consists of a stand with two belt conveyors in parallel, three (3) measuring units, three (3) vacuum units and three (3) filling units. The filling units are placed between the two conveyors.
A tank is placed at the bottom of the stand and is equipped with valves, level control and acid pump.

All parts that come into direct contact with acid are made of PVC or Hastelloy 267. Other parts, such as the stand, cylinders, electric cabinet, etc., are made of acid-proof stainless steel material. Non acid proof items are protected.

SF5-1 M - AGM Battery

SF5-1 is designed to fill AGM batteries with a specific acid volume. The filling is semi-automatic and one cell at a time is filled. The machine is typically used for test filling in the lab or in a small pilot production.
The electrolyte volume is measured by a flow sensor and the machine fills according to the vacuum principle.

SF5-31 consists of a acid pump, a flow sensor, a vacuum pump with protection vessel,
a volume vessel, an expansion vessel and filling station with filling nozzle, optical sensor and holder for the nozzle. The machine is mounted on a PVC plate which will be placed on the wall. A separate control cabinet is also included.

SF5-31 - AGM Battery SF5-31 is intended for exact volumetric filling of standby and traction batteries, type single cells. The machine fills according to the vacuum principle.

SF5-31 consists of a stand, a tank (equipped by valves, pump and sensors), 3 filling stations with each one measuring vessel and one expansion vessel and three air driven ejectors for vacuum.

All parts that come into direct with acid are made of PVC or PP. All other parts, such as stand, electrical cabinet etc. are made of acid-proof stainless steel.
The machine can be delivered with 1 to 6 filling stations.

SF6-61 - AGM Battery

SF6-61 Pallet is intended for exact volumetric filling of standby and traction batteries, type single cells, placed on a pallet. The machine fills according to the vacuum principle.

The machine consists of a stand with electrical and pneumatic cabinets, a tank (equipped by valves, pump and sensors), and one filling station with 6 filling nozzles. Each filling nozzles is connected to one volume vessel, one expansion vessel and one vacuum ejector (air driven). The vacuum ejectors can be replaced by electrical vacuum pumps (option).
Each filling nozzle is equipped with an optical sensor to detect any acid that has not entered the cell.
A Coriolis mass flow meter will assure that the correct mass of acid in supplied to each
